New York: Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie will replace Tom Cruise in the thriller movie Edwin A. Salt. The film is being rewritten to cater to Jolie.
The original script for the espionage thriller was written for a male lead but Jolie apparently showed an interest and the role was changed, reports Hollywood.com.
The actress is said to be close to signing the deal to play the title character in the movie, whose name would be changed if she does agree to take on the part.
Jolie is well known for her roles in action films such as the Lara Croft franchise and Wanted.
