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

I think IIMs should publish questions and answers together soon after the CAT. Where is the question of confidentiality after the examination when you see many preparation materials from different CAT coaching centers with questions year wise.

CAT / JEE are not exit polls that decide 5 years of political appointees but are serious career path for hundreds of students. My first reaction is media is paying too much attention to the IIM/IIT elite and creating false image in the society. The Institutes should find how the answer sheet was available in such a short time.. Media does stings like Tehelka against corruption. someone needs to do this with the media... Would media in US try to do this GMAT /GRE?

I am sorry, but I have to correct you Sir.
CAT is no computer based test Sir. The candidates are given the paper back home and more so, there is no disclaimer saying it's illegal to try solving the paper.
As a matter of fact, last year, for the first time in the history of CAT, IIMs have officially released the key.....
So, I personally don't feel there's any harm in releasing a SPECULATIVE key online.... In fact, it helps the candidates know their position....they can start applying for other institutions if they feel they are not safe.... more so, quite a few B schools take applications till about 2 weeks after CAT....this helps the candidate save some money or atleast it would reduce their worry and helps them focus on their future...
