Mumbai: Eighteen-year-old author, Tishaa Khosla is celebrating success with her first book Pink Or Black, which has sold over 5,000 copies in just two weeks. And joining her in her celebrations on Thursday was mentor Anupam Kher.
"The younger generation is much more honest, much more straight forward today than it has been all these years and that's why people are buying the book and relating to it. There are not many people who are telling them what is right and what is wrong, but I think self discovery is always the best expression," says he.
This young teen author's book covers everything from boarding school, homework, friendship and of course boys.
"After completing 10th standard, I came to acting school and I was writing scenes everyday and I was exploring new things about myself, so I thought, I'm good at this and I think I have a flair for writing and it slowly turned into a book," says she.
Meanwhile the success of A Wednesday has given Anupam Kher enough reason to celebrate as well.
"God has been kind to me about A Wednesday on a Friday. I think the success of A Wednesday is phenomenal. I'm calling it a cult film and at the end of the film audiences getting up and applauding is the acceptance of new talent. It's acceptance of new ideas. So A Wednesday's success is more a tribute to the audiences than the people who made it," says Kher.
From the serious Mumbai Police Commissione of A Wednesday, Anupam Kher takes a leap into a comedy next with Mr Bhatti on Chutti.
