Lucknow: Five persons were arrested in Lucknow on late Thursday night by the Military Intelligence Unit for drawing maps of the Lucknow cantonment area.
They were later handed over to the police.
"The five persons were nabbed by the military intelligence unit near the Kumaon regiment lines in the cantonment area while they were drawing maps of the area,'' police officer Janardan Dubey told IANS.
Officials of Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad and military intelligence are jointly interrogating them, he added.
Those arrested identified themselves as Amit, Sachin, Vikas, Sandeep and Chandrakant, police said.
