Indore: A court in Indore has issued an arrest warrant against filmmaker Boney Kapoor in a case related to the dishonouring of a cheque.
The warrant was issued against Kapoor on Friday by Judicial Magistrate R K Batham after the filmmaker failed to appear in the court despite the issuance of bailable warrants earlier in the same case.
The case was filed against Kapoor by financier Mahdendra Singh Bedi.
Bedi said on Saturday that a cheque given by Kapoor against the payment made by him for a film was dishonoured, following which he had filed a complaint with police in June last year.
The court has fixed January five as the next date of hearing in the case and directed Kapoor to appear in the court on that day.
