New Delhi: Dr Rajesh Talwar, against whom the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has failed to find any evidence in the murder case of his 14-year-old daughter Arushi and domestic help Hemraj, has been released from Dasna Jail on Saturday morning.
Dr Rajesh Talwar is back home in Noida and according to the CBI the real killers have also been identified.
One of the prime accused, Vijay Mondal, has been sent to three days in police remand by the Ghaziabad court on Saturday. However, many questions still remain unanswered even as Rajesh Talwar has been given a clean chit.
“Hemraj called them over. They had drinks, discussed Arushi and entered her room,” says Joint Director CBI, Arun Kumar.
The question is, if Hemraj wasn’t a party to the crime, why did he then allow Krishna, Raj kumar and Mondal to enter Arushi's room and assault her? Why didn’t he raise an alarm?
It seems that the accused domestic helps were fearless as they entered Arushi's room not once but twice to assault her, even as the Talwars slept in the next room.
As per the CBI, Hemraj was killed on the terrace after he protested against the attack on Arushi. Would the trio then risk re-entering Arushi's room to slit her throat?
It remains unclear how did the suspects enter Arushi's bedroom in the first place. The CBI had stated during Rajesh Talwar's bail hearing that Arushi's bedroom was locked every night and the keys remained with Nupur Talwar. Was the door left unlocked on the night of the murder?
“After killing Hemraj, they locked the door,” says Arun Kumar.
How did Krishna get the keys to the terrace door?
One fails to understand, if Krishna did destroy material evidence why did he keep Hemraj's mobile? Similarly, why did Rajkumar retain the white t-shirt, which allegedly was stained with Arushi's or Hemraj's blood?
Although, CBI Joint Director Arun Kumar asserts that the details of the case have emerged out of the narco analysis, it is beyond comprehension that, if Krishna and Rajkumar have confessed everything in their narco analysis, why then is the mobile phone and the murder weapon still missing?
CBI had earlier opposed Dr Talwar's bail plea on the grounds that he remained unfazed when called to identify Hemraj's body and that he had referred to Hemraj in the past tense. However, three weeks later the CBI has preferred to give doctor Talwar a clean chit.
It leaves people wondering if the CBI now has enough evidence to nail the three accused servants.
