New Delhi: After a gala sangeet ceremony on Wednesday night, the Bachchans and Rais are all set for the mehendi on Thursday.
This time the action has shifted from Bachchans’ residence Prateeksha in Juhu to Rais’ La Mer in Bandra.
But as Aishwarya gets ready for the mehendi ceremony, did you know that the occasion has a desert connection?
The special mehendi that will be used at the do comes straight from the organic henna fields of Sojat in Rajasthan.
Known to be auspicious for marital bliss, 15 kgs of henna has been ordered for Bollywood's first family. And the Mehendi traders of Sojat say they have all the reasons to celebrate.
“We are thrilled that a natural herbal product has been ordered by the Bachchans. We have the best quality and we are honoured to send it to the Bachchan family,” says a mehendi trader from Sojat, Nitin.
So, while mehendi traders of Sojat celebrate, there is a group of Manganiyar singers of Jaisalmer who, too, are singing in joy.
Gazi Khan Manganiyar, who floored the guests with his desert folk songs at the Liz Hurley-Arun Nayyar wedding in Jodhpur last month, has been invited to deliver another rocking performance at Abhishek-Aishwarya's wedding.
