Mumbai: The wait seems to be finally over. Rumour mills are abuzz again that Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai will be tying the knot soon. The date for the wedding is yet to be decided.
If the buzz in the media is to be believed the two families have even agreed to the wedding and the couple has decided to walk down the aisle. A few months ago similar rumours had gathered momentum after it was revealed that the actor's uncle, Ajitabh Bachchan, had visited well-known astrologer Chandrashekhar Swami in Bangalore with the horoscopes of the two.
But the rumours died down soon after. On their part, Aishwarya and Abhishek have kept their fans guessing on whether the relationship is a platonic one or there is indeed some substance to the speculation.
Aishwarya has always been tightlipped about the relationship while Abhishek has managed to evade the topic whenever he has confronted the issue. Abhishek and Aishwarya have starred in two films together so far - Rohan Sippy's Kuch Na Kaho and Raj Kanwar's Dhai Akshar Prem Ke, both of which bombed at the box-office.
They also teamed up along with Abhishek's father Amitabh Bachchan for an item song in last year's hit flick Bunty Aur Babli, and the song Kajra Re went on to win a cult following in the country.
The couple will soon be seen in three new movies, J P Dutta’s Umrao Jaan, Sanjay Gadhvi`s Dhoom 2 and Mani Ratnam’s Guru. They are also likely to work together in Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar 2.
Everyone loves a good love story and with all eyes on the duo with their upcoming films, these rumours could simply be a promotional gimmick to draw crowds to the theatres.
