New Delhi: Actor Sanjay Dutt will be released in few days after getting bail on Tuesday but the uncertainty over his future remains.
After a court in Mumbai awarded him a six-year sentence for illegal arms possession during the 1993 Mumbai blasts, he has been in and out of jail.
On August 2, 2007, SDutt was moved from Arthur Road jail in Mumbai to the Yerwada Jail. On August 20, 2007, the Supreme Court granted him interim bail and Munnabhai was out on August 23.
The Supreme Court’s decision allowed Dutt to be with his family for the release of Mr and Mrs Dutt, a book written by his sisters Namrata and Priyanka, and watch the release of his movie Dhamaal on September 7.
Dutt found himself back behind bars on October 22, 2007 and had to spend Diwali behind bars.
Dutt is expected to be out in two or three days time again but his prison sentence has put a question mark on his carreer. His home production Dus Kahaniya is ready for release, but the fate of as many as 10 other movies, including the much awaited Munnabhai Chale America remains uncertain.
