New Delhi: Reigning La Liga champions Barcelona remain on top of this year's Spanish League standings after beating Mallorca 1-0 at home.

Barca dominated the game form the start but could not convert their chances. A Rafael Marquez header hit the post to raise the Spanish champions' frustration levels.

Cameroon international Samuel Eto'o somehow failed to give Barca the lead when faced with an open net in the second half.

But then with less than two minutes remaining, Barcelona took the lead thanks to an own goal from Fernando Navarro.

The Mallorca left back was struck by the ball as it bounced off the left goal post following a shot by Saviola.
