Mumbai Keeping a close look on all the action in the Bigg Boss house is host and actor Shilpa Shetty, someone who has been there and done that. We quizzed her on what is the toughest part of being in such a reality show.
"The sheer fact that you have to cut away from your family, the outside world, let go of your cell phones...cannot get any worse than that," said the winner of the Big Brother show two years ago.
On her first reaction on learning that contemporary Big Brother housemate and rival Jade Goody being on the Bigg Boss show, Shilpa said, "I was surprised and shocked that she took up the offer. I met her for the first time (ever since after the Big Brother show) on the stage when I introduced her and from her sheer demeanour I realised that she was so warm to me...the aggressive side to her had totally vanished."
And did Shilpa know anything about Goody's battles with cancer?
"I had no idea, no idea whatsoever. It was really sad to learn that she had cancer," said the Shetty girl.
And what may we ask is required to survive the ordeal as an inmate on such a reality show?
"You have to go there without a mask and just be yourself," advised Shilpa Shetty but all those who could right away use that advise are locked up for 84 days.
