New Delhi: The BJP on Thursday took a swipe at Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss saying Supreme Court has given him a dose of "judicial treatment" by striking down the AIIMS Amendment Act.

"It is a judicial treatment for the unhealthy attitude of the Health Minister," BJP Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told PTI.

"From the very beginning, the Health Minister has been acting in an unhealthy manner. The passage of the AIIMS Amendment Act was politically motivated and to satisfy his ego," he said.

Naqvi alleged that Ramadoss even made Parliament to pass the bill which damaged the prestige of the reputed institution.

In a blow to Ramadoss, the Supreme Court on Thursday struck down the controversial AIIMS Amendment Act paving the way for reinstatement of noted cardiologist P Venugopal as the institute's director, with whom the Health Minister had a running feud.
