SHOOTERS BLOG: Bindra speaks about thinking of everything else except hitting the 'bulls eye' for a day.
New Delhi Wishes are pouring in for Abhinav Bindra from across the globe after he won the gold medal for World shooting championship in Beijing on Monday.
He himself says he has a poker face but a glance through his blog showed that he is not lost for words.
Abhinav Bindra puts his thoughts into words a day before the opening ceremony in Beijing.
Bindra writes – “Today is my day off and I am going to spend some time soaking in the Olympic village and actually getting my mind to do something it has never done before –Not think about shooting!!!
So instead of thinking about shooting perfect bulls eyes, today I am going to think of pretty women, the weather and the city of Beijing.”
In a highly personalised account of his journey to Beijing, the shooter talked just about everything –the practice sessions, his daily routine and the Olympic village.
He goes on to write – “It is an amazing feeling to be in a place that is buzzing with world class athletes and everyone soaking up the experience but yet all there with one big purpose – the ever elusive ‘gold medal’”
Now that the medal is his, well wishers are posting their messages to him on his blog and the numbers are increasing with every passing minute.
