Sonia Malik Poor Sanjay a celebrity victim. Ho'ble Judges my appeal..please do look at the conduct of person before final verdit. My question, agreed a person commits mistake, that too when 33 yrs of age, then spend 16 months in jail, then 13 yrs spend with dignity and good conduct. Doesn't it matter at all what individual can contribute to society at large rather then unnecessary under cover of JUSTICE and for sake of law/Act, you punish somebody who has already suffered alot.

Punish the guilty, not people who committed mistake in past and now they have realised their mistake and committed towards good work.

I hope in Appeal this matter would be seen from some humane angle and a softer approach would be taken!!

krishna Finally justice being served in India. I congratulate Judge Kode for giving that harsh sentence. You have shown to the world that the justice system in India is still alive. Judge Kode has guts give that sentence, eventhough he is famous, rich and spoiled brat. We need Few more judges like Judge Kode in India to put all the corrupt politicians in to the jail. Once again Kudos to Judge Kode.

shamasundar S What the honourable judge delivered seems harsh. But., it is a very very long, deep thought, well weighted judgement well in favour of reformed Sanju.I feel, It is bitter for us at the moment to asimilate the truth. But by pronouncing the judgement, every individual is pointedly told that late or little, there is no toleration towards law abettors. It is the stamp of co-existing. Sanju remain our affectionate

Alka Finally, the justice has been done to the victims of 93 bomb blast. No one should be spared just because he is a celebrity. Those who feel that he has already suffered a lot should go and ask the victim's family what it feels like to live without their loved ones. Judge PD Kode should be given extra security and should be hailed by all the indians for his bravery and uprightness.

Azhakamkumarath Vinodkumar I totally disagree with the judgement , it is hitlery . Murderers , rapists , financial frauds including politicians who laundered public money are sleeping comfortably & safely . Yes if possessing weapons illegaly is a crime , has the government who enacted TADA rules educated the masses regarding the rules . Just by giving a statement in news column is not enough . Has they they ( govt/judiciary ) ADVERTISED in the major news papers regarding this. I am 100 % sure they have not advertised . Dutt's lawyer should note this point when going to SC. I am saddened by this verdict and call upon the entire film fraternity to close down their operations / business temproararily protesting against the verdict till govt opens and prompts the President of India to pardon Sanjay Dutt.
I would also call upon all film lovers not to visit cinema's untill Sanjay is given freedom.

Goose Egg Why all this hue and cry in India, when a celebrity is convicted and punished by the court! It doesn't happen anywhere else in the world; no body cried foul when Paris Hilton or Mike Tyson were sent to jail in U.S. Do the Bollywood want the public (families and friend's of the Bombay blast victims) to take up law in their own hand and mete out their justice of public lynching to the convicts?
Sunju Baba is indeed lucky to be off the terrorism charge earlier and off the hook with minimum penalty of 6 years, and that too after 14 years of freedom during which he could mint money and live in luxury. He is lucky that his family background and connections has helped exonerate him of the terrorism charges bt the TADA court earlier and he is given a chance to appeal in the Supreme Court, who should summrily dismiss his appeal without hearing it. Otherwise, his co-accuseds who has been convicted with even harsher punishments by the TADA court should also be given the same opportunity with the best lawyer's representing their appeal at the Govt.'s cost, as most of them can't afford the luxuries of Sunju Baba! The media should not publish such news of blind celebrity worship which smacks of hypocrisy! Law should be binding for all equally. Period.
