THREE TO TANGO: The Bourne Ultimatum is expected to release worldwide on August 3.
New Delhi: While Hollywood saw a series of stars lined up for the premiere of the fantasy epic Stardust, the third and final Bourne series starring Matt Damon hits theatres this week. Here’s the buzz on our international entertainment wrap:
Starry Stardust Premiere
Hollywood had stardust in its eyes as Robert DeNiro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Claire Danes, and Charlie Cox gathered for the premiere of their latest film Stardust.
But clearly, hogging all the attention was DeNiro as even his co-stars couldn’t get enough of the Hollywood veteran.
"I got to have make-up put on by Robert DeNiro. How many people can say that? Not many. He cut my hair, you know,” said actor Charlie Cox.
A fantasy film, Stardust revolves around a young man played by Cox, who promises his beloved that he will retrieve a fallen star and this takes him to a magical kingdom.
During the journey, Cox faces many obstacles, including a pirate Captain Shakespeare played by Robert DeNiro. Stardust releases in the US on August 10.
Ga ga over Clooney
"He was so good looking. Just him shaking my hand made me cry,” said a female fan of actor George Clooney.
"He was so good looking my brain doesn't work any more . He shook my hand. His hands were so warm and big,” said another fan.
Now that is the effect Hollywood heartthrob Clooney had on his fans in Japan.
Clooney was in the land of the rising sun to promote his triquel Oceans 13. This casino caper also starring Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Al Pacino raked in $36.1 million over its first weekend when released in the US in June.
Bourne again
After Bourne Identity and Bourne Supremacy The Bourne Ultimatum is the third installment in the Bourne series in which Damon plays amnesiac assassin Jason Bourne who heads home to answer questions about his identity once and for all and makes his way around the world crossing Moscow, Paris, Madrid and London in his race to find an answer.
The films premiere was held last week in Hollywood, Los Angeles and is expected for a release worldwide on August 3.
