Wait gets longer for CAT trackers
The wait has just got longer for MBA aspirants who took CAT for admission to business schools, including IIMs.
New Delhi: It was jitters all the way as students queued up outside examination centers to appear for the CAT exam. The test usually lasts for 2 hours however went on for two and a half hours this time. So did the extra half hour help?
"I just needed a little more time," said one candidate outside the examination centre in Delhi. "They changed the whole pattern so it was quite tough," said another candidate after taking the exam.
While over 20,000 students appeared for the CAT exam in Mumbai alone, only a handful of them will perhaps make it to the big league. For most students, its wait and watch until the results come out.
Coaching institutes claim that the exam was simpler than last year and much more scoring in nature. "The paper was a lot simpler this time. It’s going to be a high scoring test. There are going to be good decent scores. Predict about 115-120 will get a call from the IIMs," said Sanjay Shivnani from Career Launcher.
Over 1,90,000 students took the common admission this year and for most of these MBA aspirants the IIMs continue to be the dream destination.
