New York: It's a far cry from the diplomatic dinners he's used to. So why was former president Bill Clinton cooking in the kitchen of TV culinary star Rachel Ray?

President Clinton entered the land of Rachel Ray, where perky cooking terms abound and he didn't miss a beat.

"'I said move aside, I'll do all the cooking' and he said, 'I can cook, when Hillary and I were dating, I did all the cooking," said Rachel as she introduced her ‘guest’ on the show.

Actually that was one of two 'Hillary' references. The rest of the hour was devoted to Clinton's Alliance for a Healthier Generation an organization that combats childhood obesity.

After that the Ray-Clinton team launched their partnership by reminding us Clinton weighed 185 pounds at age 13. Recalling his love of popular foods like greasy burgers and French fries his constant battle of the bulge—who can forget his jogging clothes? He told ray's audience his heart condition was a result of years of eating unhealthy foods. He urged parents to buy healthy—even at fast food restaurants.

"Let's be fair a lot of these places have offered healthier meals and they do it to check the responsibility box--but there's not a lot of demand for it from their customers.” Clinton

Clinton ended his visit stirring turkey boullebaise—and he had the audience eating out of his hand.
