I have 2 suggestions 1.Let WB govt publish a white paper on Tata motor and Singur 2.Let there be independent intellectuals not leaning to any party(difficult to get) verify the facts.
WB govt has done a laudable job by including the unregistered farmers in the compensation scheme.

Tatas car factory will be automated assembly line production, would require tech savvy workers..the farmers will not get job..there would be a few menial jobs. There is no talk yet of establishing the auto ancilliary industries...Tatas would source those from the already established players located at autohub in UP and Haryana....ironically most of these farmers are sheeduled cast..

it's well know that initially any green field plant will source it's components from other sources as it generally takes some time for the local ancillary industry to grow.it's nothing new for singur project as you think ot be.you should also know that many SC singurites are well qualified and many are well established in professional positions in the united states.so many can still cater to the automated tata motor's singur plant as they are genuiningly qualified and tech savvy.caste has nothing to do in bengal.so all your contentions are false and misleading.

Firstly, these pesants remained unrecorded because they used to wok in local cpim leaders land.
Secondly, why will one sell small land of less than 2 bighas, when the whole family is based on that. What will he/she will do mere lakh or two? Why some 2000 people forced to sell the land?

you are misplacing your arguments just to suit your political end.you have a local trinamoool mla in singur and you still claim that it's full of cpim-supported landlords.if that is the case then why and how trinamoool could win the singur assembly seat??you argument gets more interesting when even a small child knows that cpim has a strong presence within the sharecroppers-marginal farmers and on the contrary trinamool has a strong base within the landlords and jotedars!!! if a sharecropper can get a lucrative compensation from the guv then it's good for them and their future.why you are creating unknown and impossible predictions with the sole motive of creating disturbances.

So you have again got the news from Barunbabu's Bartaman that all the land belonged to CPIM leaders! Or that the “bargadars” were employed only in the fields of CPIM leaders! Where then is your problem? They are all CPIM people – let them go to hell! You may not understand what the farmer will do “with a lakh or two” but ask the farmer – he will tell you. Please also be informed that the compensation for two bighas (appx 3 bighas = 1 acre) is more than Rs 5.5 lakhs if it is a single-crop land and Rs 8 lakhs if it is a multi-crop land and not “a lakh or two”. Even if you assume a modest FD rate of 5% pa, then the returns would be Rs 27.5 and Rs 40 thousand pa respectively. Do you expect that person with even an acre of land would earn that much from his land? I suppose this explains why everybody rushed to sell their land in spite of Mamata et al. As for the IBN news item, the information that bargadars are receiving 25% of the land price as compensation is not mentioned.

Tareque
Everybody knows (even though they don’t express it ! ) that only the Left’s are the pro farmer and pro labors party in India till date, rest only doing crocodile tears! Rajnath singh and George Fernandez posing for photo shooting beside Ms. Mamta solely because the last bye elections time Ms. Mamta was quiet close to quiet co called NDA. TDP already left NDA and BJP doesn’t want Ms.Mamta to go as well. That is why all this drama. Rajnath’s has also a hidden agenda that if Tata’s shifts their project from West Bengal to his home state UP. What about RIL’s mega SEZ at Navi Mumbai, Gurgaun & Naida?????? This Mamta who now crying crocodile tears for farmers in her campaign for 2001 assemble election she promise if TMC form the government in WB she will given back all the farm land to land lords, which was distributed to the land less farmer by Left’s for their land reform program! Not a single farmer is doing all these things. This is the collective conspiracy by Naxals, social criminals and enemy of the West Bengal people. But the people of WB are far more educated, mature and intelligent enough that they will throw all those social enemy on to the bay of Bengal. Long Live West Bengal!!!!

Aam-admi
In the first instance, it is wrong on the part of WB govt to accept setting up of a (of all the things on earth!) 1) car manufacturing plant with intl oil prices soaring and not likely to stabilize in the near future and the flimsy indian economy relying on that precious commodity! 2)when there are already a dozen brands at the choice of indian customer starting from low end to mid range to luxury!3) doling out developed fertile agriculture land of 11000 farmers sole livilihood! When one sits down to introspect,it is difficult to understand what is going on around!certainly, some vested interests are putting their interests above the country!

it's a 1 lakh car factory proposed to be set up by Tata Motors at singur and hence the initiative is perfectly pro-aam aadmi and comendable.don't give ridiculous arguments.
