Debashish There must be some method and logic to what he has said - he is an absolute sycophant and an Yes man, commanding little respect in public life and having done nothing significant in his years of being a politician, for the country - otherwise, how can one explain his action in supporting Rahul for the PM post, when there are so many other worthies in the party and alliances?

How is it that this Chanakya has not understod the other Chanakya??!!

Chanakya Jr. Mr Arjun: Throughout your public life, you've enjoyed ups & downs and wielded enormous Power yourself as the Chief Mi nister of MP, CONGRESS PRESIDENT, a Cabinet Minister, etc .. Don't you know a simple fact and that is: right from Pt Nehru, Indira Gandhi and now upto Sonia Ji & Rahul, when did you have the so-called internal democracy ? Democracy is only for preaching to the gullibles and not meant for practice. The Congress Culture is sheer, absolute obedience .. if you want to so choose, you can be a sycophant, yes-Madam, a jaalraa-man, etc, to be within the coterie or the kitchen-cabinet; if you raise yr voice or even murmur, that's the end of political career .. The Congress history has recorded ever so many worthy persons having been just dumped into the dust-bins .. That's the reason why our Congressmen's backs are bent ! It defies one's imagination as to why, Sir, with all your worldly wisdom & in the evening of otherwise your illustrious career, you shd raise your voice now ?? Have you got an eye on any Governor's post to spend your time at leisure ?? Then, GODSPEED ..

ASHISH Since its inception,Congress Party was full of sycophants.
There was no democratic way of election----rather selection
Members used to leave everything to the party president.
There was no discussion, express of opinion rather accepted by all members without questioning to remain in good book of the president. What new the frustrated politician has brought in light?

Lalit How amusing that the minister most responsible for introducing and perpetuating a culture of sycophancy in the Congress should lament the absence of 'internal democracy' within the party.

p_v_namjoshi Now it is Arjun singh who has to say good by from his post as Minister. Coming events cast their shadow behind. He also spoke about Ram Setu against the policiies of Congress and now he speaks about internal politics of Congress. Previously also he was out of Congress. Wait and watch and ready to give him honourable send off!

KRM This is one sheer rank of opportunist with utter failure in his Public life to give a New direction to future Public Policy matters for better living of people in the nation. Driving the nation with caste politics or following the Pseudo Secularism under the guise of Minority appeasement, criticising the incumbent Prime Ministers in whose cabinet he exists are part of his routine activities. Why dont he join a political party in which internal Democracy is flourishing? No party encourages this person after looking at his past experience. OBC Quota proved that he is also the same class of VP Singh and Co. Hope his age brings him some preserverance before his final destiny takes over him...

sharadmani it is surprising that the man who passed tens of years of his political career in the congress now, at the fag end of his career, raises question like internal democracy and way of decesion making tn the party.

The problem is same with other parties as well. No matter what the color of soap is. lather is white always!

n g kamath It is not new or of recent origin. Our education minister is a very senior member of congress party. Congress is known for its adament and arrogant handling of matters and styles of resolution of tricky situations.
