Stumps: 294 for 6 Sri Lanka end the day with a lead of 54 and four wickets in hand. Kumar Sangakkara is there on 127, having added 195 with fellow centurion Dinesh Chandimal. With him at stumps is Nuwan Kulasekara on 2 off 26 balls. Bangladesh will eye early wickets on day three.
End of over 87: 280 for 6 Kithuruwan Vithanage falls to Rubel Hossain, cutting to deep point. Not a shot the Sri Lankans would want to see so late in the day. There was one man stationed there and Vithanage found him. Sri Lanka lose their sixth, and lead by 40.
End of over 83: 265 for 5 Dinesh Chandimal has been dismissed for 102, bowled by Rubel Hossain. The bat came down late on the ball as it nipped back in. That ends a partnership of 195.
End of over 80: 259 for 4 And now Dinesh Chandimal has a century, his second in a row. This is looking bad for Bangladesh. Chandimal gets there with three through point. Sri Lanka lead by 19. The new ball has been taken.
End of over 71: 225 for 4 Third consecutive century for Kumar Sangakkara. Some comeback this has been, against a side he has regularly bossed. Gets to three figures with a couple driven down the ground. Its his 33rd Test century. Sri Lanka now trail Bangladesh by just 15.
End of over 66: 200 for 4 Kumar Sangakkara and Dinesh Chandimal have taken the score to 200. Sangakkara is on 85, Chandimal 68. This stand is so far worth 131.
Tea: 175 for 4 A partnership of 106 has taken Sri Lanka to a 175 for 4 at tea. Kumar Sangakkara is on 75 and Dinesh Chandimal on 53. Sri Lanka now trail by 65.
End of over 56: 174 for 4 Fifty for Dinesh Chandimal, courtesy two runs paddled around the corner of Mahmudullah. The stand with Kumar Sangakkar is now worth 104. Bangladesh lead by 67.
End of over 53: 157 for 4 Kumar Sangakkar and Dinesh Chandimal have approached their task with determination, and the lead has now been reduced to 83. Sangakkara is on 68, Chandimal on 42.
End of over 45: 134 for 4 The fifth-wicket stand has extended to 65, with Kumar Sangakkara on 56 and Dinesh Chandimal 33. Sri Lanka are eating away at the lead and now trail by 106 runs.
Eng of over 40: 114 for 4 Kumar Sangakkara has continued his strong form on return to the Test side, reaching another half-century. Dinesh Chandimal is on 16 at the other end. Sri Lanka trail Bangladesh by 126 runs.
Lunch: 81 for 4: Kumar Sangakkara and Dinesh Chandimal have taken Sri Lanka to lunch without further loss. Sangakkara is batting on 38, Chandimal on 3. Bangladesh took the morning session's honours with three wickets. Sri Lanka trail by 159 runs.
End of over 23: 69 for 4: Sri Lanka have slipped to 69 for 4 with the wicket of their captain, Angelo Mathews, to Sohag Gazi on the second morning in Colombo. The spinner changed his angle and produced the third breakthrough of the morning for Bangladesh with a flighted delivery which went on with the arm and took the edge to slip. Mathews departs for 16.
End of over 22: 68 for 3 Kumar Sangakkara and Angelo Mathews, former captain and current, have put on 25 to steady the Sri Lankan innings. Sangakkara is batting on 28 and Mathews 16. Sri Lanka trail Bangladesh by 172 runs.

End of over 10: 39 for 2: First wicket of the morning and its Dimuth Karunaratne who goes, cutting Abul Hasan and getting a thin edge to Mushfiqur Rahim behind the stumps. Strike one to Bangladesh today.
Day 1 summary: The opening day belonged to Sri Lanka with Rangana Herath taking the honours with a five-wicket haul. Bangladesh were all out for meagre 240 with Mominul Haque (64) and Nasir Hosain (48) contributing with the bat while the other batsmen failed to get a start.
However, Sri Lanka had to come out to bat before stumps and lost Tillakaratne Dilshan for a duck.
