Duminy stars in return as South Africa pummel Netherlands

Amstelveen : South Africa beat Netherlands by 84 runs with JP Duminy scoring an unbeaten 150 and taking a wicket as he returned to international fold after a long injury lay-off.
Jean Paul Duminy celebrated his return to international cricket after a lengthy injury lay-off, scoring an unbeaten 119-ball 150 as South Africa pummelled Netherlands by 84 runs in one-off one-day international in Amstelveen on Friday.
Duminy, who sustained an ankle injury in November last year, compiled a 151-run stand with Colin Ingram (82) and then went on to stitch an unbeaten 152 runs partnership with Faf du Plessis (43-ball 62), with Proteas racking up 341 for 3 in their 50 overs. South Arica scored a whopping 144 runs in the last 10 overs after they had lost the openers Alviro Petersen (6) and Hashim Amla (20) early in the innngs.
Medium pacer Muddasar Bukhari was the pick of the Netherland bowlers, taking two wickets for 79 runs in his 10 overs. In reply, Netherlands put up a spirited show and got off to a good start with opener Stephan Myburgh scoring run-a-ball 27. The other opener Eric Szwarczynski went on to make a career-best 98 off 116 balls with captain Peter Borren chipping in with 48 down the order.
In the absence of pace spearheads Dale Styen and Moren Morkel, Rory Kleinvelt and Lonwabe Tsotsobe bowled a tight line and length, with Robin Petersen returning with figures of 4 for 67 in his nine overs.
