IPL Auction 2014: Hyderabad bag Warner, buy back Mishra, Ishant

A total of 216 players went under the hammer on day one, but only 70 were sold with Yuvraj Singh ending up as the top-earner, bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for a whopping Rs. 14 crore.
Sunrisers Hyderabad tried their best to buy back the players from the pool who played for the team in last season. Hyderabad bought back Darren Sammy, Ishant Sharma and Amit Mishra, while the big catch was David Warner for 5.5 crore.
Delhi Daredevils who are building their team from a scratch, bought the most number of players (13), followed by Sunrisers Hyderabad (11) and Kings XI Punjab (10), Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders (8 each), Royal Challengers Bangalore (9), Mumbai Indians (5).
