Ranji, Group C, Round 4, Day 2: Andhra in command against J & K

Andhra captain AG lead from the front and blasted a fine century to put his team in the commanding position against Jammu & Kashmir (J & K) on day two. After bowling J & K for 153 on day one, Andhra resumed their innings from 118 for 4 on day two and lost Amol Muzumdar in the first over of the day. But Pradeep showed defiance and shepherded the tail neatly. He got able support from Syed Sahabuddin and Rajesh Pawar, both of whom scored half-centuries, and Andhra made 390 in their first innings.

In Ranchi, Prashant Chopra hit his first first-class century to take his team Himachal Pradesh (HP) near the first innings total of Jharkhand. Resuming from their overnight total of 176 for 5,
Jharkhand were all out for 236. Saurabh Tiwary (102) carved his eighth first-class hundred. Rishi Dhawan chalked up six wickets for HP. Aakash Chopra and P Chopra compiled a 154-run opening stand before four wickets fell in quick succession. HP were 201 for 4 at stumps on day two.

In Malappuram, Goa declared their first innings for 512 for 8 and nipped out one wicket of Kerala for 47 at the end of day two. Rohit Asnodkar unfurled his first first-class century to steer
Goa pass 500, after Sagun Kamat had hit a century on day one.
