Malappuram: Assam closed in on Kerala's first-innings total of 264 after offspinner Arlen Konwar shone with a five-wicket haul in their Group C match. At stumps on Day 2, Assam were 161 for 4 in 61 overs, with Dheeraj Jadhav and Tarjinder Singh unbeaten on 76 and 55 respectively.
Assam now trail by 103 runs with six wickets remaining in their first innings. Resuming on 211 for 5, Kerala added only 53 runs to the overnight total. After accounting for the wickets of Abhishek Hegde, Rohan Prem and Raiphi Gomez on Saturday, Konwar on Sunday picked up P Anthaf and Sadanandan Anish.

In Jamshedpur, Goa bowlers made a strong comeback to restrict Jharkhand to a modest total of 360 in the first innings. However, the visitors did not have a great start to their chase as they lost opener Amogh Desai before the close of play. Starting the day at 222 for 2, Jharkhand batsmen failed to capitalise on a good start as they lost wickets at regular intervals.
Responding to Jamshedpur's first innings total, Goa did not have an auspicious beginning as Desai edged one to wicketkeeper Gautam off Shahbaz Nadeem. At the draw of stumps, Swapnil Asnodkar was unbeaten at three and giving him company was Manvinder Bisla at three.
Jamshedpur 1st innings: 360 for all out in 151.4 overs (Manish Vardhan 73, Kumar Deobrat 58; Saurabh Bandekar 76 for 4) Goa: 24 for 1 (Amogh Desai 13; Shahbaaz Nadeem 7 for 1).
In Agartala, Yashpal Singh smashed an unbeaten double century while Rajat Paliwal also scored a ton as Services piled on a mammoth 564 for 4 before declaring their first innings on the Day 2 against Tripura.
In reply, Tripura were 53 for no loss in 24 overs with Subhrajit Roy and Samrat Singha were batting on 38 and 13 respectively when the stumps were drawn.
Services 1st Innings: 563 for 4 declared (Yashpal Singh 250 not out, Rajat Paliwal 104 not out; Tushar Saha 2 for 159).
Tripura 1st Innings: 53 for no loss in 24 overs (Subhrajit Roy batting 38, Samrat Singha 13 not out)
In Nadaun, continuing with his scorching form, Paras Dogra hit an unbeaten 109 as Himachal Pradesh fought back by reaching 224 for 5 against Andhra Pradesh. Himachal Pradesh are still trailing by 148 runs with five wickets after bowling out Andhra for 372 in their first innings.
Andhra had began the day at 331 for 7 and Vamsi Krishna's unbeaten 21 at number 10 helped the visitors reach that total. Himachal then overcame a poor start through Dogra's fighting century. His 109 came of 215 balls, with the help of 13 boundaries, including a six.
