Cuddapah: Amol Muzumdar scored a brilliant 146 to help Andhra Pradesh stay on course for a quarter-final berth as the hosts posted a challenging 329 in their first innings and then reduced Kerala to 55 for 2 on the second day of the Ranji Trophy Group C match on Sunday.
Just one run short of a hundred on Saturday, overnight batsman Muzumdar continued his good run and notched up his 30th hundred. His 263-ball innings also helped him to cross the 11,000-run mark in first class cricket. He was the last batsman to be dismissed at an individual score of 146. He was cleaned up by left-arm medium-fast bowler Chovvakkaran Shahid.Paidikalva Vijaykumar then snapped two wickets as Kerela slipped to 25 for two in 7.5 overs. The match has been severely hit by bad weather as only 23 overs could be bowled over the first two days.Opener Subhrajit Roy was batting on 37 while giving him company was Rana Dutta, who is yet to open his account.
