End of 30 overs: 139 for 7 Shingi Masakadza tonked two sixes and a four as he, along with Malcolm Waller took the Zimbabwe innings forward. But the home team was still far away from Bangladesh's 269.
End of 25 overs: 105 for 7 Ziaur Rahman struck once again when he got rid of Prosper Utseya for a duck. The right-arm medium pacer was the pick of the Bangladesh bowler, taking three wickets in his eight overs. Malcolm Waller and Shingi Masakadza were still fighting it out for the home side.
End of 20 overs: Chasing 270 to win, Zimbabwe lost five wickets inside 20 overs. Shafiul Islam clean bowled Regis Chakabva (1) and Sikandar Raza (3), while Brendan Taylor (33) was bowled by left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak. Sean Williams (9) was run out for 9 and H Masakadza got out after making 38.
End of 50 overs: 269 for 8 Bangladesh could manage only seven runs from the last overs as Nasir Hossain top-scored with 68 runs, while for Zimbabwe Shingi Masakadza returned with figures of 4 for 51 in 10 overs.
End of 45 overs: 231 for 6 Nasir Hossain scored his fifth ODI fifty before getting dismissed for 68 off the bowling off Tinashe Panyangara. Ziaur Rahman has joined Mahmudullah in the middle.
End of 37 overs: 174 for 5 Tendai Chatara was the most impressive bowler with the new ball and the pacer was rewarded for sticking to the basics in his second spell with the wicket of Mominul Haque for 38. Haque and Nasir Hossain were looking good in the middle compiling a 76-run stand to put Bangladesh in a good position.
End of 30 overs: 143 for 4 Mominul Haque and Nasir Hossain combined to steady the Bangladesh innings as the duo looked comfortable facing spinners Prosper Utseya and part-timer Hamilton Masakadza.
End of 22 overs: 94 for 4 Zimbabwe fought back well led by pacer Shingi Masakadza who picked up three quick wickets. After seeing the back captain Mushfiqur Rahim for five, Sakib Al Hasan departed three balls later courtesy a run-out to leave Bangladesh in a spot of bother. NAsir Hossain has joined Mominul Haque 12 in the middle.
End of 16 overs: 75 for 2 Shingi Masakadza picked up the wicket of Tamim Iqbal for 31 in his first over and then scalped Mohd Ashraful in his third for 29.
End of 10 overs: 42 for 0 Tamim Iqbal and Mohd Ashraful looked at ease against the inexperienced Zimbabwe bowling attack wit hAshraful being the aggressor scoring 14 off 20 wheras Iqbal faced 40 balls for his 21.
End of 5 overs: 21 for 0 Tamim Iqbal and Mohd Ashraful got Bangladesh off to a sedate start scoring 21 in first five overs after being put into bat by Zimbabwe in the first ODI. Zimbabwe started off with Tinashe Panyangara and Tendai Chatara who stuck to a tidy line at the start. Tamim is batting on 10 and Ashraful on 8.
Having contested a hard-fought tied Test series, Zimbabwe and Bangladesh turn their focus to the 50-over format with the first of three ODIs on Friday.
Bangladesh bossed the hosts in the second Test at Harare to level the series, and will take that spirited performance in the first match of a low-key series while the much rest of the cricketing world engages in the razzmatazz of IPL.
