Da vinchi code is just movie and I don’t understand why people are making issue out of it. It’s just a friction and people should not think so much about it. More ever people are intelligent enough to think for themselves and if movie is not good they will reject it. I also believe Christianity is stronger and this one frictional movie is not going to any thing to it. I think let the people decide if they want to see the movie or not! So forget about the issue and let’s enjoy a frictional movie. Just have fun and forget about it.

banning the movie will only add to its popularity. however it would be good to note that christians have by far been a very tolerant community. you dont hear of bombings and demolishments in the name of God from them. requesting for a ban does not make them extremists even if the demand is childish.

If the Christians really think that their religion is strong enough, and free of all the scandals that the book has accused them of,then why be scared. If that is true then the Film will do no harm to them, and if it isnt, then what is the truth?

This is a politcal trick to make the issue of the ban being supported by the govt. These congress people have to banned. Major Christian countries have agreed to release the film and these indian people who are not real christians and those who get money from other christian supported nations are blindly banning the film. This is all rubbish. Let us ask these indian protestors how real Christians they are?

i realy agreed with you we should protest against this

Churches across the country are collecting signatures of the devotees against the screening of the movie. Most of the devotees have not read the book DaVinci Code and do not even have an idea about what is in it that would hurt their sentiments. I wonder why the Christian organisations are keen on banning the release of the movie while the book is still in the top ten list of the bookstores? Why are even more blatant books like "the holy blood, the holy grail", "the messanic legacy", "the Last Temptation of Christ" etc. are still on stands and are best sellers?!
I, being a Christian never found the content challenging my belief in Christ or his teachings.
"Is our belief so fragile that a fictitious thriller movie will be able to challenge it?" "What is it that is in the movie which the Christian Church fearing that will affect their belief if people watch this movie" "The Movie is produced by a country dominated by Christians (USA) but is opposed by a country where Christians are monority. What does this indicate?"
The sensible way in which The Vatican reacted when the book was released is not replicated by the christian organisation in India.

The movie is a big issue in India because of the conversions that are being carried out. In Europe and USA, almost everyone is a Christian. In India, if this movie is released, people will catch on that there are many holes in the story that the missionaries tell.
India is still a battleground for missionaries fighting the satanic Hindu religion. They don't want anything that will jeopradize their crusade to convert Hindus.
This is the actual reason why the church in India is fighting tooth and nail against the movie while christians in west have no problem.
The game of the missionaries is exposed by this episode. I am a Christian but I am ashamed about the working of the missionaires and the strategems they employ to convert poor, hungry Hindus in rural areas.

Vincent what is satanic about Hindu religion ? We have opinions based on half truths. No system in the world is perfect . If anything is pefect it is only one thing - it is abstract - it is GOD - and God is one . If you were born a Muslim you would have been educated to be a fanatic. We are all products of the environment and how we are shaped. No religion is satanic - it is the interpretation by people like you and me whiach give it that name. All religion preach love and no religion preaches hatred , brother.

Dear Vincent D Souza,
You cannot be a Christian. You are hiding yourself under a Christian name and expressing the view of RSS. This movie can not challenge the faith of Christians and if God willing, you will see the end of the people who hurts the feelings of Christians who are the most kind people in the world.

i think that this ban is senseless. if you don't agree with a movie don't watch it. stopping others from watching it is a violation of a person's freedom. besides how does the movies contents have anything to od with the government? no other country even those with christian majority populations has banned. why should india? besides do you think that a movie could seriously harm a religion thousands of years old?

What is with the church-oriented links on top of the page about gospels and proving the book wrong? Will the editor clarify? Is IBN being funded by the church?
Why don't you have an SMS poll like you do on many Hindu issues about this movie being banned? Comrade Sardessai must seriously give it a thought.
( Posted: Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at 15:44 )
Sanjy they r adds by google and IBN cannot influence adds by google because the google system functions in such a way that what u type or the content in the page is what the system searches and displayes the link related to it.

utter nonsense by calling for a ban and staging demonstrations the christian community have made sure that everyone will see the film which is what they did not want also i do not think anyone will be deeply influenced by watching this film that they will reounce god films are just for entertainment so tese kinds of " SILLY " controversies should be avoided

If one has really understood the BIBLE and JESUS properly would not be affected by any kind of movie that cast JESUS in such a bad light. If one starts to doubt about the teachings or the very own existence of CHRSIT the his/her faith is not at all true.
