it is shame and in a free country like India. there is no freedom of speech or expression. in every movie, there will be some good guys and some bad guys. if everybody start protesting then, there wont be any movie releases. e.g.: if in a movie, biharis or punjabis are shown in poor light and they starts shouting. ditto with hindus, christians and sikhs. in lot of movies, police are shown taking bribes and baddies. what if police deptt want a ban on such movies. same with any character. if a gujrati is shown as villain and all gujratis wants a ban. there wont be any releases. by the way, there is censor board to censor. what is Das munshi saying that if Catholic approves then he will give green signal. time will come when all the religious committees will sit for censorship. By the way, when there is no ban on "DA VINCE CODE" book which is now a bestseller of all time, why this BAN on movie. And everybody knows it is a FICTION.

India is a pseudo secular minority that ONLY knows how to appease the minorities to get their votes.
India can never become a global power if it imposes itself on reservation in education and appeasing minorities.
These will only make the congress gain votes, but not a growth for the nation...

Anything ! which creates controversy and has the reason of being misused by the POLITICAL MISCREANTS for their interest should be BANNED....
Whether it is DA VINCI CODE, SATANIC VERSES, PAINTINGS BY MF HUSSAIN or any things which will hurt sentiments of people whether RELIGIOUS or RACIAL...
Freedom of EXPRESSION does not mean the RIGHT to ABUSE or HURT Sentiments.... Why don't the writers/Editors understand this basic concept..... INSUNIATION is not the LANGUAGE of WORD

Islam, christanity and jewish way of living,or you call them religions, are pure and they came out of fire in deserts, clean and perfect. Like Hindu religion or way of life, which also preaches love and good way of living.BUT the preachers in all religions are exploiters using it as tool of economics to self seeking and money and wealth, thats when society takes it as faith as all religions instead of way of living become opium.

This move by the government and the I& B ministry questions the very existence of freedom of speech and expression in our country, contrary to other majority christianity following nations where even the vatican is only able to voice its opinion, but not influence a ban on the film...i dont understand how banning the film will help justify the craziest reasons cited by the CCAI, it infact goads the millions of fan following of the book to seek other ways to watch the movie, and the much needed publicity...

Once again it has been proved that the govt. can do anything to keep the "Super Prime Minister" kush, the double standards will be open up within few days as WATER is going to release in india and the government will wave green flag to it since the Pseudo Secular Ghandi family wants it. Will the govenment will apply the same rules to each and every religion, I doubt? Long Live "Super Prime minister" Long Live"Priyaranjan das Munshi" Long Live"ArjunSingh" Long Live"Manmohan Singh"(Rubber Stamp)

Not worthy of national wide discussion. Some Hollywood film is made and some religious guys are going mad, why Indians neeed to worry about it? It hardly matters for an average Indian.
