ALL SC/ST and OBC students have strength, knowledge and capacity to compete with other students of the country equally. Then, why should there be any need for reservation? Eacn and evey individual can come up on his/her own. There are MANY other means by which economically back/unsound students can be helped to study. Does it need to be "Reservation"? It can be done in the form of scholarships... let these politicians give one scholarship each year in their name to at least 10 students with THEIR OWN MONEY... They are never ready to do that. Instead, they propose non-sensical things like "increase in seats" as a solution to the problem. We ask for removal of reservation. "Increase in seats" is not a solution for that. We arent demanding that there arent enough seats for us. What we are asking for is for "EQUALITY IN EDUCATION"... Can you give that to us? Do these people even know what is exactly happening in the country or what is needed for the country? GOD SAVE INDIA... from these cold-blooded politicians.

Politicians have been the main cause of "dependent India" ever since and even after India was free of British rule. There is no one such party to be blamed for all this crap. All parties are the same. Everything is done in the name of politics. There is no use in blaming only Mr. Arjun Singh of his ignorance about facts and figures. Any other minister in his place would have also replied in the same way, let alone him. They all will have already decided on each and every issue beforehand, yet they dont let out those decisions. Instead they hide everything saying that everything is still being "ooked into" or "thought about". There is not going to be any change whatsoever in favor of the students who have been burning in the heat to terminate these reservations.

Mr. Arjun Singh, let me clearly explain that you were unfortunately selected as repesentative of world's greatest democratic nation. This comes along with a package of responsibilities & include answerability to public, people for whom decisions were taken. You have clearly failed first on account of taking decisions based on ordinary prudence & second explaining the logic of decision making. If you pass on all the decisions as taken by Parlaiment, than please vacate this position as we can always appoint a low cost graduate (OBC/ST/SC if you say so) to do the clerical job of preparing documents without any need of application of mind/thought to what he is doing, like you have been doing nowadays. Please go to your home as seems like you are out of your mind & oldage along with failures in your career has taken over your capacity to take decisions on behalf of billions of Indians. Hope this response reaches you & you follow the advice.

As they say "Everything happens for the best". Had it not been for Mr.Arjun Singh to open his mouth before time (for whatever reason), there might not have been any protests that we see today. Reservations are OK, but only to a certain level, say till graduation. Beyond this there should not be any kind of reservations for higher/speciality education and also in jobs and positions in government or private sectors as ample opportunities have been given to the candidates to prove their capabilities.
If there are any discriminations happening at higher levels of education and jobs on the basis of caste, the government must take appropriate steps(other than reservations) to stop it.
Any kind of help for the SC/ST/OBC or financially backward can be given in terms of monetary concessions only for higher education.
By now we should have started to reduce the number of reservations based on caste, but on the contrary we see that ministers are putting all their energies to increase the quotas.
I hope the guys in the ministry take a good decision for the betterment of India.
Kudos to the braveheart Doctors and I hope students and members of other sections take part in their cause.

Nothing more than this is expected of Indian leaders. Indian parliament is full of such VPs, Arjuns, Laloos and Mulayams. They are heartless, shameless, and mindless. They hardly apply the simple logics. They understand the language of votes. The country is going to be divied on the basis of casre, not religion.

Right to "EQUALITY" is mere a myth in this country - First there were Britishers and now its Politians. Same old story "Divide and Rule". Vision India 2020 will be hampered by such type of politically motivated decisions. "Brain Drain" process is sure to start after the reservation decision is implemented.

seats are not the loot of the society that they are to be shared equally. why only jobs and education to be shared? why not rural and urban property, shares etc. be shared?

This all is politically motivated. When V.P.singh introduced reservation, these people(Congress Party) opposed this policy and now this is their own turn. Why these people do not get himself treated/operated by a OBC/SC/ST in India? The people who belong to the OBC are also our country men and should be given given a fair chance on the basis of the qualifications and not cast.

With decisins like these, I don't even feel like staying in my own country any more. Why can't be have reservations for Economically backward caste's rather then all this OBC & SC/ST rubbish. Let EBC's be uplifted from the very root of their poverty & lack of education. But please do away with caste reservations which divide our country.
