Dear Mr Karan, Hats off to you!!! You have done an excellent work by giving the statistical examples of the number of OBCs and their position in institution of higher educations. You have shown the minister by Logic, how fallacious his arguments of extending the reservation is. Reservation is not the way to uplift those who need it;had it been the way it would have worked in last 50 years. If it has not worked it shows that it's the wrong way to think of empowerment of OBCs or any other section of society.
These very people "whom we elect" are responsible for the fall of the country which is supposed to be the world leader. I just wonder what would be the future of our country if such baseless people , without thinking, implement the reservations in Private Sector Jobs.

The HRD ministry does not know the population of OBCs in India but still they implement about 50% quota for them. this is really amazingly stupid.

I am an Indian student studying in USA, just want to draw your attention on one thing:
These all things are inter-related, let me make it very clear, if our government will keep on distributing special right like this, students will protest against it,, some of the students will commit suicide etc...but it's not going to change their decision.....believe me.....after a while, all the students will start coming to other countries for opportunites and equal rights.
..now the government of india will blame all students who are studying abroad with that 'brain drain' crap...because after a week or so..everything will be asusual..all the studetns will join their college, all the strikes will be called off....life becomes normal again but the polictican/media people have completed their work..
..the real solution for our next generation would be to start participating in policits...otherwise that day is not far when our country will loose faith from it's youth (young generation..)friends, please let us thing about the long term solution and let us unite and work towards the real solution.....

I just want to share what my friend settled in US asked me. When I talked with him about home land and such things he told. "What will I get in this country? They will collect all that we have in the names of different taxes and give that to people who are having reservation. Why should I allow that? In this country if the government is collecting taxes then they will look after me in my older days and no one will overtake me because he is of some other caste.” Please think on what he told. Now I am also thinking like him. Thanks Arjun Singh for changing my mind......

Mr Arjun Singh, You are making people to think on their future. People of upper caste are denied their right to study in Top Institutions. There is no one to raise this issue. Till this issue I was a person who loved this country and wants to do something for the prosperity of this country. But now I am rethinking on my attitude. Monthly I am paying a huge amount to the government by the name "TAX". Why should I give that? What am I getting in return? There is nothing left in this country for my next generation. Earlier I had said big no to my career paths abroad. But now I am thinking of that simply because I started hating these political leaders who are ready to do anything for votes. Not even a single political party said a word against this...Why? Because they need votes. If government wants social equality then there should be reservations based on social background and not based on caste. These gory things will only split people.

Forgetting the subject - Reservations, for a minute, Arjun Singh just looks incompetent. He seems to be ignoring logic, reasoning and facts. He comes off us a person hiding something. So many "I don't knows. Better for him to resign just on the account that he is not fit to run HRD.

I don't believe that the people have actually elected a government which has ministers like this buffoon as part of the cabinet. He is a joke. A cruel joke which threatens to ruin millions of young Indian lives.
