Tarun We can conclude congress is the WROST party and Arjun Singh is a foolish person, Congress is trying to cheat entire nation to get OBC votes, by dividing people on caste basis.

more subir sengupta Although it is quite late to post a comment on this interview, yet I could not resist myself to express my feeling about the whole interview. Karan Thapar is supposed to have all the facts and figures needed for the interview and he is well prepared, good job done. Where as the minister shows his incapability interms of knowledge on the subject matter, that is pathetic. How do these ministers claim that the parliament is supreme when all the parliamentarians show their inferiority even in a pre-set interview?

K Mahesh It is the peak of pseudo-secularism.When the Congress men found that Muslim appeasement won't work long for them(Bihar polls, the recent eg.) they are trying their
best to prevent the unity & consolidation of Hindus, which in course of time they fear will lead to the advantage of the BJP. So, I request everyone(including the so-called backwards) to understand this cheap trick of congress and work against communal appeasing of this pseudo-secular parties.Thanking You.

Arun Hi to all!
special thx to karan and hr minister for this interview. i read the full article and some reaction. one thing which striked my mind was reactonary approach of arjun singh and defensive (from of reactive) stand taken by our dear readers. Hey guys i do believe its time for we people to think objectively and react in logical way...i feel dejected at hr minsters arguments in favour of reservation...the way he snubbed logic, facts, opinions...i do believe this is not proffesional approach..he hold a responsible position and accountability demands he own up the mess he created after opening up pandora box...this Haryanvi Bamboo style will not do (that is what we haryana people call it). the hr minister need to explain and satisfy the curosity of not just uppercast or poor obc's but of a nation who need modernity in its decision making not a parochial appraoch which further act as detterent for the rising morale of youth of this country....also we are not pro reservation or against it...we are for betterment of humanity...it may be sc/st....dont allow this cast religion to spoil the country...lets make things better...lets move forward rather taking retrogative steps....we need better india..and unified india not divided on cast line...
Ther is another example how majority rules is biggest failure for democracy....
hey countrymen wake up and rise , dont hink of these petty issues and make the worls better around you
love
arun

kamalambal karan seems to be doing a kind of objective job in that he always questions whatever a person supports. The interviews with Arjun singh and Arun shourrie are indicative of that. Such objectivism is required today to get the best out of every issue. All the same I stiil feel karan can mend his ways.

more Sunil K Balakrishnan Dear readers,
This interview once again proves that we are still not matured as a democracy. Else we would not be tolerating such a person to decorate the chair of HR ministry, and keep making such stupid reservations. This once again brings to the fore the divide and rule policy of the congress led government. They are very tactful in appeasing the religious minorities and the play caste based politics just for their share of vote bank.
Hope CNN-IBN could bring to the open, more such shameless deeds of our politicians, for our "intelligent" voters to just think before they cast their votes next time. Good show Karan... may it bring the desired results.

tushar goswami Well everybody knows why this thing is being imposed on higher institution.....just politician don't want the young breed of india to decide whatever thay want....

priyanka why do our politicians feel that they can amend our constitution as and when they please? u have to remember that it was created by more qualified people than most of those who are running the country today. and if there is such an overwhelming need for reservations for OBCs to help them rise and all why not help them at the primary level so that they are on par with the rest instead of reserving seats in higher education that will no doubt be wasted?
