Harsha Just when we were beginning to feel proud of being led by a scientist in the form of President Kalam and an eminent economist in the form of PM Manmohan Singh, we are having to live with the shame of being governed by absolute morons like Arjun Singh.

For a person who cannot think beyond cheap vote bank politics to be given the highly esteemed HRD Minister's is an absolute disgrace and injustice to the youth of the country.

Let us resolve never to forfeit our right to vote and ensure that jokers like these do not ever get voted back to power again.

Shame on the UPA's policy of discrimination.

All of a sudden, movies like Rang De Basanti seem to make a lot of sense.

Pushpendra Gupta Arjun Singh, if you don't have any feeling for others and try to have a fear of God, you are on the edge of your death, don't let the students speak about you something that much wrong that on your last moments, you may not get a chance to have a 2 meter cloth for your dead body, there could be celebration on your death in India and whenever a mother will talk about the degasters of India, they could tell your name first. Kindly stop it.....Try to have fear of God... You can't be higher than God....

Dr.Kushal DIVIDE & RULE by Govt.
Q1. Should in a civilized society "caste" system exist???
If not, what did the politicians do for so many years to wipe this malpractice out?
We know they are famous for making us divided,as in riots(1984 or later ones).

Q2. If they really want development for the underdeveloped, why don't they help the Jaroas or other tribes with hospitals, schools, jobs?

Q3. They are ready to spend Rs.8000 crore for increasing seats,so why do people still die of starvation in India?

Q4. A doctor or an engineer is considered to be a "1st class citizen",how may he/she remain "backward"?

Q5. On which right does the Govt. deny the seat to a poor student not born in a family with specific surnames?

Q6. They are ready to spend Rs. 8000 crore, how much for rehabilitation of the people affected by increasing height of the Sardar Sarovar dam?

kalpana dhareshwar it is a shame the way politicians are playing with the lives of crores of people.let us go forward and join the ranks of the developed countries instead of being shackled to our past. make primary education compulsory and available to the backward castes.let the creamy layer not get the benefits of reservation.

Ritwika Sharma I think the govt. takes the entire population of the country for granted. They have openly publicized their disinterest in bringing about genuine reforms for the development of the nation. Or else, why would they have introduced the proposal of reservation for students of weaker sections in the most reputed colleges and universities of India. If the govt. really wishes to uplift the weaker sections of the society, why not provide them free and elementary education till the school level and give them financial support to get admission in the courses of their choice at college level. The present suggestion of reservation proves that for the govt., caste comes before merit.

Natarajan Dear All
Think about saving the country from the vice grip of these power mongering politicians who will resort to any trick under the garb of democracy. They have been tolerated for long with disaterous conesquences. If they are left unchecked and uncountered the country will soon be in total ruins.

Another freedom movement is the cry of the hour. The Y4E require all the support from all of us. Let a united India which every one can relate to and be proud of emerge from the struggle that has just begun. Join all to make it gain momentum and rise like a sweeping tide.

Rajukamal The issue of reservation is certainly a complex one and the government's decision to reserve seats based on castes ALONE doesn't convince me. I, myself studied in one of the govt colleges in Tamil Nadu where the proportion of quota was 69%. I would like to think of my class wherein reservation certainly had helped some people who didn't have the oppurtunity to study in a good school to get a seat. Out of the reserved seats, there were a few seats for students from rural places(again this is specific to TN). I had many friends who were from rural areas and this quota had helped them with a seat. That had changed their life dramatically and positively. But that is just one side of the story. The questions like how the creamy layer is handled and why should be a person with a degree like MBBS be considered "socially oppressed" and reserved a seat for PG and many other questions remain unanswered. I wish the govt considers the implications on all sections of society. Certainly reservation based on economic state sounds more sensible. Let us hope for the best.

more Manish Ambekar This is for all indians,
We have a live examples, Irfan Pathan is not in indian team because he belong to minority or from backward community he is their because of his talent, Which all of us admire & feel pround off. His father was a small perfume vendor. Same applies to zaheer khan, Md. Kaif etc. If they can do it. I feel every indian regardless of his caste can do it if he has the will to do it. These idiots politicians only dividing this country in the name of caste & religion. The youth of today is least bothered abount the caste. If the governemnt continues with these policies we can expect a civil war soon in our country. Rather Time is for all the indians to encash on the opportunity that it has got today that the whole of world is looking at India.
