I would say, being a part of the government, the minister atleast should have a knowledge of the facts and figures involved. For every answer you can't simply say, "That is parliament's decision, I am just following it." The parliament have no rights to decide the fate of thousands of people if they dnt have valid answers to basic questions.

They dont care about the students of the premier institutes like IIT's and IIM's . They have no idea about the ground realities of how the students who come to these institute through reserved seats perform in studies. Its of no help to just give them seats in IIT's IIM's. First Make them capable of competing for a seat by providing them good education at grassroot level. But no just to get the vote bank these crap politician will do anything. Students on hunger strike , they dont care. Students crying for justice they dont care. How can the governments decision can be the voice of people when a large portion of INDIA doesn't agree to it Moreover none of the leader from dalit parties or any other concern has come up to raise voice in favour of the reservation, well i believe they dont have a point to make in the first place.

when the "people" who have elected that so called "parliament say that they no longer need reservations... how come this minister says that parliament is supreme and its decisions need to be implemented. There is no point in discussing on his knowledge... these are the kind of people that we have elected... thats what we need to worry about !!!!!

Arjun Singh comes across as an Ignorant politician, unsure of any facts and trying to pass the buck onto parliament. It's shameful that the academically bright youth of India are being targeted by the police and manhandled and lathi charged in the same vein as desperadoes. The future of our Country is indeed bleak

arjun singh has proved himself to be the most ineffecient minister we have ever had. he is the hrd minister who does not know what he is saying. and so bluntly saying the parliament has decided this the parliament has decided that. which means he has no role to play at all. if he is contributing to the government, then he owes it to the people who elected him into the government. so he cannot hide anything from anyone whether it is under discussion or not. i am feeling disgusted about this man. let me stop here and let arjun singh learn that what he has and is doing here is the most heinous crime ever.

The only truth in the whole interview "Why didn't you visit and speak to the protesting students?"
"We were too busy with the election campaign".
Thank you for letting us know EXACTLY how important the country's students are for you.

Guys, one most imp thing for which we all need to be blamed is: we dint vote last time with all our will and mind. Lets make sure next time we choose a single party, let it be a 2/3 majority winner for parliament. Lets not give these morons a chance to shout, fight and abuse each others in parliament. All issues like reservations, economic favor to particular region, etc will go away when there ll be no regional party to put pressure on govt to take unwanted decisions. What I hate most is so called social activists and pseudo-secularists who just wait for a chance to poke their nose in any matter, just for publicity and awards. On one side we support Aamir Khan for speaking his mind out in democracy and other side a bunch of few idiots decides what a country of a billion people will do. Why no bill is being discussed in parliament where one with graduation degree and not over 50 years of age only can contest an election? Look at the nos of criminals we have in our parliament. I used to believe that in years we have got a govt where PM, President and FM are all educated, bullshit that now!
