Adit the upa govt has neatly sidelined the major issue by turning everything to the parliament. the pariliament has unanimously decided on reservations but no one minister is perfectly committed to the result. the govt shows no sympathy towards the students. we should now pass a bill for reservations in all govt jobs including all mp's.

Hiranyamai I dont understand when its clear that government(congress) is doing this for votes why are we ppl stressing on principles ,ethics, logics and all that stuff for which these people have turned their ears off.Whatever you say, whatever reason you may produce they wont listen to it,and thats very clear after this interview.Mr.Minister is not as ignorent as he is trying to be.This is just a face saving attempt. He either didnt had any points to make or was least bothered to answered.
Let us speak the language they understand...the language of votes...lets all be united any choose a party(may be a new one) which would be determined to abolish reservations....because these dumb morons are very mean...

Vivek Look at what the Laloos, the Paswans and the Arjun Singhs have done to this country over a period of 50 years. Their cheap vote-bank politics have brought the country to its knees. Indians like me have had to flee the country because we simply did not stand a chance of living a decent life in India. Isn't this disgraceful?

Can we not petition the Supreme Court against this kind of discrimination which is meant only to divide and sow hatred in the minds of millions of people?

more 007 I have a question for you, Arjun Singh.

When somebody stabs or shoots you, mark my words... somebody will, and when you have your sorry ass in a fifteen star hospital room, will you allow a quota-assisted OBC intern of dubious credentials treat you?

Tanushree is the only reason mr. arjun singh gives for having such reservations for obcs. no figures..no report..basically no real reason behind this proposal. WE are a democracy n will never give in to the whims n fancies of ministers like him.

Arpan Parikh I strongly believe that our politician do not have brain or policy. They simply targeting their voters for their interest. They can not think more than "Khurshi" Looking to present situation, in near by future, studunt will run for SC/ST/OBC certificate to get the admission and not for merit. As long as politician like arjun singh exist in india, Our country is not going to develop.

sunitha Filthy government!!! Most politicians are bloody basters. They can do anything for their power. I thank god who saved me and my future generation from these basters. They are raping our education system. I really wonder is Manmohan sing having any brain to implement such a filthy reservation system?

Saurav I have no woards to desribe the foolishness of this persons. It is our fate that these kind of persons are rulling the nation. I dont know why he has done all this, may be personal rivalry with PM or for Dalit votes or for being in limelight. whatever the reason is, his decision is the result of absence of conscience, thoughtfulness, proper study, common sense, general knowledge and honest intentions. It is unwise to alow someone to take decisions if he is not aware of the results and impacts. My decency is holding me back to use any kind of unruly or abusive langauage. I wish was blunt enough to use all the god words my friends and society taught me since childhood. But then it will be unwise to humiliate all those good words by associating them with Mr. Arjun Singh. I wish arjun singh (AND ALL HIS BELOVED)be treated by the same doctors in case of emergencies who will be gratuated using quotas. Mr.Arjun Singh is not just ruining the careers of future generations but he is also playing with the lives of crores of people.

Mayank Hmmm, seriously this democracy is not working in India. Political parties for vote sake are going down to such levels as to create a caste segregation. Ideal solution will be -
1. Reservation benefits based on economic background.
2. Once reservation availed by one, it should not be given to their children.
3. It should have fixed time line like 10 yrs.

We definetly want it to go to the needfull people and not to those who are availing it generation after generation. They are killing the merit. Supreme Court should intervene and change it.
Its a serious matter!!!!! Should not be dealt so casually. I am really disappointed and disgusted by the Indian Parliament.

manoj I am belonging to a caste from OBC and against cast based reservations. I know that benefit is only fro Narendra Modi's , Kalyan SIngh's and Mera Kumar's sones and relatives. Actual needy people is not going to get any thing. Giverment does not want to invest any money in backward's upliftment so he is doing the reservations becasue it deos not cost any money. UNless it has economic criteria to excluse all the creamy layer in OBCs and SC / STs , it is useless. Either there should be investment in primary level of education or it should be "Once use in family policy" to excluse the people from the OBCs. THis is purely a votebank polictics and I am ompletely against this purely cast based reservations.
