It appears that HRD minister does not had the clear understanding of the subject that he was soliciting for. In that entire interview he said nothing other than "It is the decision of the parliament." HRD minister appeared to be very ignorent of current status of IITs such as their student capacities that they can support. It is sad to know that being an HRD minister he did not had a clear understanding of the current status of country's premier institutes like IITs. However, it was a good debate and we would love to read such kind of things frequently.

Ask any OBC member, they might not be expecting this kind of reservation, this is all done for the vote bank. This kind of incident reminds me the remarks made by shaheed Bhagt SIngh when he and his companions dreamt of a complete independence, This is not the what for which freedom fighters and even the soldiers on the border sacrify their lives. Lets not these politician play with our lives. This is the time to bring revolution in India.

Reservation is not the right way to bring up the part of community.Basic fascilities are provided to the poor and needy people. In government schools, children are entitled to get free lunch and books. But providing the fascilities is not enough.Govt. never looks back to see if they are actually being implemented.Intention of the govt. may be right but the path chosen is totally wrong.By reserving the seats,Govt is doing unjustice with the others.Govt should reconsider their decision and should come out with a feasible solution which is in benifit of all and not just a handful.

Brilliant Interview Karan... One thing is clear from this interview, that the person(Mr Singh) who has taken this decision is not at all aware of whom he is going to serve and whether it will really serve the nation or not. I don't think our political leaders really want to serve the country, rather they are always behind to save their postion. Mr. Singh, our country is not going to grow without talent. Reservation will just increase the number of candidates in the institutes but is not going to increase the number on the international level. Don't play with the future of the new generation. If young generation is supposed to be the supporting pillars, people like you only are trying to weaken our base. And on the top of it without knowing the valid reason to implement the reservation, he is behind reservation. Even Jawaharlal Nehru's words was "I dislike any kind of reservation" and "help should be given on economic consideration and not on caste". Being a part of Congress Committee, people are not respecting his word. Please put your efforts for the upliftment of the nation and not to degrade the nation.

It is disgusting political game as the intellegent students of india have been thrown into the street while the decision makers do not have a clear idea (or even AN IDEA) of what they are doing or what they have to do.It is sheer arrogance from the part of minister/governament/devision makers by saying that WE MADE THE DECISON.THAT'S IT!! Poor electorate of India!!

Arjun Singh is desparate, with frailing health and lust for power, he has shrewdly brought this case of reservation. This is a superb interview and each question is a blow on his knowledge, ability and his poor understanding. By his interview, he proves that he has no merit and can come up only by consideration or his ability to upstage others. Be it blackmail, threats or stupidity. It is because of such people that Congress has been washed off the heartland and is still recouping from its bruises. Now the party will not be able to comeback at all. His betnoire V P Singh is virtually finished by all senes and sooner than later, people want to forget him. They are sick, insane and devoid of vision.

We all have been betrayed by those nasty politicians. All these talks of arjun singh have loudly announced one thing, they are doing these for their own political benefit. We & our futures are just pawns of their power game. Why don't they understand that they have not regained their backward vote bank with these efforts?AT the best,This will create a severe rift between the upper & lower casts of india & at the worst this will lead to a severe violence & massacar.Let's prolong our fight guys. They are waiting for our hours of tiredness & fatigue. As patiently as a bunch of vultures. They are thinking that our protest is a temporary thing & this tide will die down with passage of time. Then with crocodile's tear in their eyes for us they will implement this decision as ruthlessly as possible.Noone is going to stand beside us except ourselves.all political parties of this nation are the same.LETS FIGHT TOGATHER TILL THE END.DON'T KNOW WHEATHER THIS RESERVATION WILL EVER STOP OR NOT BUT LETS MAKE A VOW,WE WONT LET THEM CRUSH US WITHOUT ANY RESISTANCE.WE MAY LOSE MAY DIE BUT MUST NOT BOW OUR HEAD.LETS MAKE THIS COUNTRY BETTER FOR US AS WELL AS FOR THE COMMING GENERATIONS.
