Amit Mewar If our HRD minister cant even explain as to why the reservation is being made in the first place then why is he sitting there.
But the answer is simple - VOTE

Shyam Well, one thing's for sure... the old man is definitely a POLITICIAN, I mean, just look at the way he sneaked his way around all those pointed questions... the ol' SNAKE.
On that level, I kinda appreciated his handling of the interview: Obviously the old man is no fool, nor do I think the Govt is filled with IDIOTs... The way I see it, he knew that if he started to give straight answers to the questions he'd be cornered down the line. Instead, he gives the impression of a bumbling idiot, with all the typical political slimy non-commital answers... I can almost picture his high command friends congratulating him on coming alive from this interview... better to look like a complete utter FOOL, than going in any direction that would blow the lid on this fiasco.
At the end of the day, who's doing the fooling? This interview does not show Arjun Singh at his worst, but probably at his political best.

Sakshi I agree with Susheel, why these terrorist failed to enter Parliament?

hansa makhijani A commendable effort on Karan Thapar's part, however, what Arjun Singh elicited was uncertain ridiculous gibberish. Perhaps 27% reservation also ought to be implemented while electing M.Ps, i bet Arjun Singh would find that unfair and "illogical".

The students were lathi-charged by barbaric police men and all the HRD Minister does is "condemn" the action !

SS Quality time of Karan Thapar is wasted . It is just another great cartoon humor show . If Thapar had asked ' Why did he come to the interview ... Arjun singh would have answered .. ' I dont know , parliament decided & I have come for the interview . What a pity , we are lead by these jokers.

vikramjit it is clear from the interview that Mr. Arjun Singh doen not have a single clue about the status of the OBCs and the requirements of the reservation quotas. its ironically hilarious on how he keeps passing on the blame to the "supreme parliament".

Bharath I would like to question those people, in particular to (ARJUN SINGH,HRD minister)who support reservation for OBC,"ARE ALL OBC's ARE BELOW POVERTY LINE..? OR ALL THE OC's ABOVE THE POVERTY LINE".WHY CAN'T RESERVATION BE MADE ON INCOME OF A FAMILY,SO THAT IT WOULD BE HELPFUL FOR THOSE WHO ARE REALLY BELOW THE POVERTY LINE AND OUR CENTRAL DEPARTMENT OF TAX WOULD BE ABLE TO CHECK THE REAL INCOMES AND THE TAXES WOULD BE PAID PROPERLY BY MANY WHO DON'T PAY THEIR TAXES.

I feel the politicans are coward of loosing their votes and can ARJUN SINGH OR OUR PRIME MINISTER is ready to answer all the problems and what is the solution for those upper class poor, I have seen many priest-the one who does pooja in hindu temples are very poor...so the government doesn't bother in this case...?

In the interview by Karan Thapar, ARJUN SIGNH cant answer a single question properly.. its better that he goes for job to put CHIN CA..

THIS TO OUR PRESIDENT.."I FEEL ASHAMED TO TELL I AM AN INDIAN :("

Renin It is high time that India shed all the amendments that were made to the constitution for the backward classes. The decisions made by the govt are politically structured and not for the welfare of the people. The backward classes will benefit from this decision but at the same time the higher castes will suffer. It is more the responsibility of the former to condemn this "amendment" that the government wishes to make to the constitution. We, the youth of India should encourage a Nation for Equality for ALL, and work towards it. Message for Politicians - BEWARE!!! Dont play with the careers of the young... You will have to fight with terrorists from India.........

Kamal under the name of parliment, they are acting like psycho-selfish dictators. Does any of those politicians care about the country? anybody has foresightedness of impact of this on society and country!!!
if they want to give reservation give it till certain level and to people below poverty line or for rural people, not based on caste and not in research and higher education.
