Arjun Singh is a highly irresponsible person. He gave the reason that nobody went to appease/pacify the agitating students due to the fact that every one was busy with elections. This clearly shows that for them election are more important than the concerns of young innocent people who are fighting for their rights. In short, they have hunger for winning seats and they do not have any conerns for the common man.

Amazing Interview by Karan Thapar. I dont know what kind of sympathy is Arjun Singh talking about. Hes could not speak with any clarity. He got totally ripped off. I sympathise and pity Mr Arjun Singh for the attitude, and lack of logical thinking

Hi Shilpa,
I completely agree with you, its amazing to know that are ministers holding such high designations, do not even have the basic logical analysing power before talking. He made a fool of himself in this interview, and got bashed left right and center. Certainly he needs to be pitied for his lack of resoning.

Our politicians are doing loathsome activities for their short term gain. Why not they are accepting the fact that Reservation is not the remedy to solve the problems of SC, ST and OBC's. They are giving them the callipers while they are in need of physiotherapy. They can walk like a normal human being. With the callipers of Reservation they may able to move but they can't run and win the race.

Hi Karan, Now that law for reservation is made, i feel that we people(the young generation) including me are to be blamed in sm way or other. We are just sitting in our homes typing SMS and sending mails but not doing anything that will hit the government. We appreciate the efforts of doctors but dont want to do sm on our own really "SHAME" . Regarding our politicians are concerned they have never though of people, they will never think of people so dont expect smthing frm them. They shld remember one thing that it was not we but our forefathers who brought untouchability and we are suffering. And the actions they are doing will make ou kids suffer. If they really want to do some thing give OBCs who qualify the exams, scholarships so that they dont have to pay. But this will not increase there vote bank.
Finally i can just say that because of dirty politics no longer i can say that"I AM PROUD TO BE AN INDIAN"

It shows the high irresponsibility of our politicians that they were not disclosing any matter to the general public to whom they are constitutionally answerable. It is also a matter to be seen that the ministers are not at all concerned about the agitating students and are just politically motivated about their vote banks. They have hardly visited the students and talked to them. It instead has been that they have called them to their AC rooms and given an adamant talk. So are our politicians constitutionall right by not being answerable to the public who voted them to power? Is this a democracy? Looks rather like beureucracy.

Are these ministers sure that after reservation those persons who did'nt recieve proper education base can match up to standards of the likes of IITs & IIMs.
There's this case where a person had qualified IAS prelims with a negative score. Why? Because he came from quota!! How does one think such a person is able to run a state albeit a goverment.
Are we then not doing injustice to such persons with quota. Adding more to their insecurity putting them into an environment for which they're not prepared.
How do we justify giving reservation to kins of a person who by availing reservation himself is earning handsome salary & by all means is above education, status & wealth backwardness.
Who compensates for the deserving brains not getting a chance to prove their mettle because of quota? Are we heading towards a democratic 'dictatorship' where whims & wishes of individuals run?
Sorry.. for taking so much space,i dont know if my voice would be heard or my views be seen. But as a responsible individual it's necessary that we speak up and as a responsible decision makers our leaders hear us all and then make prudent decisions.

It really makes a beautiful loop ! ---------------------------------- Let me summaries the whole outcome of this brilliant interview in 3 lines: > I am the minister, so I will take the decision. > For the facts and consensus, do not make me answerable. > Decisions taken in parliament need to be obeyed at any cost and no minister needs to be answerable for those decisions.
This, I think, is applicable for all kinds of decisions including the criteria for being nominated for the election. It really makes a beautiful loop.

This is a fantastic interview by karan, he exposed the baseless intentions of Govt of India by his brilliant questions based on facts and figures. There are lot of contradictory situtions arised during interview where Arjun singh was not able to answer. Really the matter is serious and needs a strict perusal by our hounarable PM
