New Delhi: The deities of India's richest temple, Tirupati, came to Delhi on Friday.
The three Utsava Vigrahas, or procession idols, of Balaji and his two consorts Bhu Devi and Sri Devi have been brought for a ritual. They are being kept at Sri Venkateswara College grounds.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) trust is conducting the ritual Kalyana Mahotsava for spreading spiritual values and 20 priests have also been brought from the temple.
They will perform Kalyana Mahotsav, aimed at spreading spiritual values, on March 21 and also the divine wedding of Lord Balaji - Srivari Kalyanam festival.
And the devotees will also get the famed Tirupati laddoos.
This is only the second time the Mahotsav is being held in Delhi.
