New Delhi: In yet another incident of road rage, on Monday morning a female call centre employee was allegedly abducted.

The incident took place at 3 AM on Monday, when Abhishek Agarwal and his friend Pallavi were on their way back on a bike from a party when a group of hooligans in a pick up van tried to overtake them.

When the couple reached Pitampura's CD block bus stop, the men forced the couple to stop by blocking their way. Abhishek was assaulted with an iron rod and Pallavi was dragged into the car and driven away.

"The girl's wrist was hurt. And the boy suffered injuries on his back. A case of kidnapping has been lodged. The rest of the investigations depend on the boy's statement,” says ADDL DCP, Sanjay Kumar.

While the families of the victims are unavailable for any comments, sources say the police was slow in coming to her rescue and Pallavi may have been molested during her 2-hour long ordeal.

The police authorities are still clueless about the identity of the culprits however what is shocking is that Pallavi was assaulted for almost an hour before being dumped at a secluded spot which just goes to show that even today the streets of Delhi are still as dangerous and the police equally insensitive.
