New Delhi: A day after the Delhi Police claimed that they had cracked the recent serial bomb blasts in the country, three more terror suspects were detained by Delhi Police’s Special Cell in connection with the Delhi blasts case. The caretaker of Batla house where Friday’s encounter took place, Abdul Rehman, has also been arrested.

The three men – Zia Khan, Shakeel and Shakir – were arrested from south Delhi on Sunday morning.

Police claimed that the three were part of the same module that had taken part in the blasts in UP, Delhi and Ahmedabad, and were also involved in planting the bombs.

According to initial reports, a lot of fake documents have been recovered from those arrested on Sunday.

The joint operation was launched by the south district Delhi Police and Special Cell.

However, the hunt for the two alleged terrorists who escaped Friday’s encounter continues. Massive search operations are on in the National Capital Region and adjoining states to nab the Delhi blasts accused.

Police on Saturday alleged the Delhi, Jaipur and Ahmedabad blasts were executed jointly by the Lashkar-e-Toiba, SIMI and Indian Mujahideen. Officials also indicated that the module was strongly motivated by international terror organisations like the al-Qaida.

The police revealed the details after the arrest of two terror suspects, Saif and Zeeshan, who are in 14 days police custody.

Police claimed that the two men have identified 13 terrorists who were involved in the blasts. According to the police, two of the terrorists, Mohammed Sajid and Shahzad, had even procured fake voter identity cards.
