New Delhi: With dengue cases rising at an alarming rate in the Capital, residents are taking measures to prevent mosquito breeding.

"We clean our house daily, use mosquito mats and also wash our cooler regularly" 16-year old Delhi resident Bhavita Kukreja says.

With the deadly fever spreading across Delhi, people are using mosquito repellents to curb the menace. Chemists say that the demand for mosquito liquids, mats and sprays has never been this high ever before.

Meanwhile, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi is doing its bit to tackle the outbreak. "We have constituted 12 special task forces in each zone in Delhi. In addition to his, we have 12 fogging machines, and have hired 2400 additional personnel to curb the mosquito menace," MCD, PRO Deep Mathur says.

According to the doctors, dengue peril is generally at its peak in October. With three-weeks more to go and no easy solutions available, prevention is perhaps the best cure.
