New Delhi: It's going to be a hot-hot June this year, predicts the met department. The month has barely begun and the scorching summer sun has the mercury soaring across North India.

Both Hissar and Lucknow saw mercury melting at around 44 degrees while Delhi and Chandigarh were simmering at 43 degree Celsius.

A little respite comes from the indication from the met department that a fall in temperature could as western disturbances would cool down the city.

“There may a dust storm on Monday and thundershowers later on, but the weather is likely to remain hot for the next few days,” said B P Yadav Director Meteorological Dept.

“People should stay indoors as the weather is only going to get hotter,” said a Delhi resident. “There could be thundershowers or dust storms but the weather is likely to continue mostly like this throughout the summer months,” said another.

It's so hot in Delhi you might as well put the heat to some good use. All you have to do is take a mug of water keep it in the sun for five minutes, drop an egg into the water and wait for it to boil. We bet you wont have to wait for long.
