New Delhi: After netagiri and dadagiri, it's time for seeking divine intervention. That's what a handful of traders did on Friday afternoon.

They invoked the Gods to protect them from injustice and remove all hurdles they are facing for quite some time. But others like some BJP leaders decided to debunk faith and take the persuation path instead.

They met Home Minister Shivraj Patil urging him to consider deferring the sealing drive. "If the verdict isn't favourable then the Government should bring in an ordinance to give relief to the people," says BJP leader, V K Malhotra.

"The Supreme Court's intention is to clean up the city, and that's we want too," says Home Minister, Shivraj Patil.

Now, does that indicate a green signal for the sealing drive? The trader community, though hopeful that the outcome will be in their favour, is not sitting still.

"We created our livelihood. If they couldn't provide us with it, they have no right to take it away," says designer, Neelam Saxena.

"We would be holding different meetings oin different commercial markets of Delhi, educating the traders about the sealing," general secretary Confederation of All India Traders, Pravin Khandelwal.

Matters will be clear only on Monday, when the Supreme Court hears all matters relating to the sealing drive and put an end to the daily speculation of 'will it, won't it'.
