Did Lord Ram exist ? ASI says no historical proof of Lord Ram's existence.Nothing can be more idiotic than this.Can ASI prove how life began? At the micro level, the explanation given is life starts from the union of sperms present in the genes.Can science create life? It is incomprehensible to us.Definitely there exists a super power which controls each and every atom.For atheists, there is no God though God is Omniscient.Only believers in God know, He exists and helps the believers indirectly.The people who abuse Ram are the true devotees of Ram, because they utter his name time and again, even in their abuse. There is no use of wasting our valuable time in exploring whether Lord Ram existed or not.For the believers Yes! for non believers No.True rationalists won't criticise the faith of believers in Lord Ram.

Why doesn't karunanidhi comment on existence on Jesus Christ and the Holy Prophet. He knows that if he makes senseless remarks on them, he will loose the elections. Karunanidhi, enough, keep your mouth shut. If you don't believe in Ram, then don't believe.. nobody wants you to be a devotee.. but be tolerant to hinduism like you are tolerant to other religions.

How much proof would you like have,before you let it rest to this day, that Lord Ram did as much as any other religeous- Lord-Gods&Goddes existed in this world.For hundreds years- Hinduism distorted by forigners, coame to India and spread- theirway of worshiping God's,why?Ram Setu project was in the mind of native indians for many years,long before-politicos made a political footbal out of it,I would say take your- hand off religeon and work for indian community for change, jobs and homes for indian&eradicating poverty from theCountr God bless us all:Cllr Ken Tiwari(Oxford UK)

The ASI's attitude is condemnable. However, a few days ago in a letter tothe editor in a leading English daily, a former Archaeologist has mentioned clearly that it the best of his knowledge no study has been done on ram seth. I wonder if we can call the omission by ASI as intellectual dishonesty.

Not sure how the Govt and ASI could say that Ram never existed and Ram Sethu was not man made. ASI never conducted a study on Ram or tested the samples of Ram Sethu to confirm this. We should actually conduct the study and know this once for all. Whatever the results of the study, it is the belief of a billion and more of Hindus that Sri Ram existed and lived on the same very land where we live now. All the MKs and his chamchas can't change that belief. How much is he qualified to ask whether Ram was a civil enginner or what? What is his qualification to become the CM of Tamil Nadu? We should make laws so that even our politicians should have certain educational back ground to become CMs and PMs.

Is the question relevant. A majority of the Hindus believe in Ram. Similary can anybody prove that God exists ? Has anybody seen God ? It is the faith in God and his manifestation that one believes in. Majority of the people believe in God. We do not ask anybody to believe in God or Lord Ram. Then why somebody insist that there is no Lord Ram. It is our own business. If anybody donot want believe, let them not. But you have no right to ridicule other peoples beliefs. If anybody has a right not to believe, we have a right to believe. We do not ridicule somebody's belief in not believing in any God. Please give due respect to our beliefs. Please leave us alone.

There should be little doubt about Ram being a historical figure. There cannot be so much mythology unless there is a history. But to give Ram the form of god is wrong, because that goes against his greatness as a human being. It is commendable for a human being to have so many qualities, whereas it is no big deal if a god has such qualities. Plus existance of gods itself is doubtful, that of historical Ram is not.
There is so much folklore built and a culture has arisen around Ram not because of the qualities he possessed. It is possible that certain decisions of his may not stand scrutiny of modern times (e.g. killing Shambuka), but all the same the very term Ramrajaya means good governance, and nobody should have any doubts regarding the qualities of Ram in governing his people. India craves for Ramrajya for all the good things it represents. The memory and place of Ram must be respected bacause Ram stands for certain qualities.
As far as Sethusamudram project is concerned, the approach should be purely scientific, and mainly from the view point of long term benefits Vs. ecological effects. It is highly unlikely that such a project would have been undertaken by Ram, but difinitely, this formation, if disturbed is likely to have ecological consequences.

Indian courts are not able to give justice to a common man, what is that they can decide about the epics of Lord. by the way Indian law believes some one eye witness not the evidences, thats how so many criminals walk freely from the courts. Corrupt judges can never decide what is true in the nature.
