aditya Arjun Singh is only bothered about the reservations. The best way to solve this problem is to increase the fees for each student and i guess now-a-days students are getting easy loans. I don't say going to other countries after BTech in IIT is wrong and i am sure students can afford the fee. This way IIT's can operate on their own. If the status of IIT's is like this just think about central govt. univ's.

Partha sarathy One must look into the teacher student ratio at IITs and compare it with that of other top ranking institutions in India today like Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani Rajasthan. One has never heard that BITS Pilani could not pay salaries. If the fees at BITS Pilani is comparable with that of IITs, then how come IITs ended up in this sorry state of affairs.

face of raw life instead of abusing aaj ka arjun(pun intended) we should look on incrasing the endowmnet money. we indain s copy so many bad thing from west but so less of the good things. most universitiesini U.S. get there fund from industeries b'coz we only concenterate on theory not on pratical( its ot pratical exams please). company like google, microsoft, apple are created on college campuses were the mind are pristine and sharp enopugh to think pure and clear good. and not fool the consumer.
the culture is totally out of place in india , instead we just see ...........that people are goin g to U.S. I am an engineer and planning to go to U.S Belive only 5% willingly leave their country , their family, their freinds, their home ....culture...food.....and the indain soil and air( however gaalies we might give to indian government or curse the polluted air). we know that in U.S nobopdy is ours and out here nobody is strange.

common man I work so hard and pay my tax and I do not get even a rupee return from any of IIT'ians who used my tax money for getting a rich job in USA. so I request our government stop funding IIT's and spend my tax money for any useful work.

Raghavendra R Pawar IIT’s producing world class industrialist and engineer’s bur it suffering from financial crunches is shame to its reputation. Instead of depending on MHRD they can find their money generating ways to survive and utilize their alumni assistance. Government should not neglect in releasing funds to the par excellence institutes, these giving world-class talents to society.

Suhas Such situation shall remain till our Hon HRD minister is there.
At least Dr. manmohan sing should release such elite institutes from clutches of this man who is not thinking anything other than reservation and that also not for poor underpriviledhged people but for his own political gains.
This man should be stopped immediately otherwise he will destroy the credit achieved by these institutes over last sevveral years by their hard work.
This man should not be allowed to control the things in elite institutes at all. All budgeted funds should be released before time. can this man say that for lack of funds, he will not get his salary and allowances or can we stop salary and allowances to president of India for lack of funds.
And considering present economic situation, I am sure that there is not a shortage of fund with government but the minister's attitude toward these institutes is very very bad.
Again, he should not be allowed to control the things and budget/ funds of these institutes at all. If required, a campain should be started to remove from the HRD minister's post. let him handle any other dept.
