New Delhi: The Navi Mumbai police have released the sketch of a man suspected of raping a Finnish national.

The sketch is based on the description given by the victim and it took three days for the police to prepare it.

The suspect is in the age group of 20-22 years. He offered the woman a lift outside a popular nightclub in Belapur.

When she accepted, he drove her out to an isolated spot in Parsik Hills, before raping her. Police have so far detained six people for further inquiries.

Thirty-six-year-old Finnish national was brutally assaulted and raped around the Parikshit Hill area of Mumbai on December 17.

Later on he was admitted to city’s Nanavati Hospital.

Narrating days’ incident she said, there were at least two to three people in the vehicle and they forcibly took her to an isolated spot, where she was physically assaulted and allegedly raped.

“We heard a lady crying for help. She was saying, 'Somebody wants to kill me. Please help me. Please call police.' Her clothes were in a terrible condition and she had been hurt on her face and legs,” a local recalled.
