Q: Which yoga exercises can help in improving eye vision?
Following is the basic eye exercise one can do for strengthening eye muscles.
Sideway viewing
Sit with legs extended forward and raise both your arms to your shoulder level with thumbs pointing upwards.
Ensure the thumbs are in your peripheral vision.
Now fix your gaze at a fixed point in centre, making the position of your head neutral. Then without moving your head, focus the eyes on the following one after the other:
- Left thumb
- Between your eyebrows
- Right thumb
- Back to centre of eyebrows
- left thumb
Repeat the cycle at least 10 times keeping your head and spine straight. Then shut your eyes, rub your palms and then take the warmth of your palms to your eyes.
This exercise will not only relax the tension in your eye muscles , but will also strengthen them. Do it regularly to feel the difference.
