sarthak i really do not think that government has to be blamed here... if they manufacture bombs in the town itself and carry them in school bags, how can you suspect... you cant check each and every bag..

Chandu We should not feel compelled to compare Indian response to that of the the US or UK. They have very different history, and demographic mix than India. India must find its own answers to the issue of terrorism. The conversation that happens in a democracy like ours will lead us to the right answers.

Binu "PM, Cabinet express shock"
"Parliament condemns terror attack"
"Jaipur resilient after multiple attacks"
"Security at highest alert across the country"
"Largest ever man-hunt launched for culprits"
"Terrorists would be dealt with an iron hand"
"foreign hand" suspected...
IB warings ignored by State Police

So, whats new....the same headlines over the years...nothing on the ground changes....

watch Lok sabha TV at 11 during parliament sessions to see how an emerging super power deals with issues of national security (or any other issue for that matter)

Aditya Todi True that a strict policy has to be put in place in India just like it is in superpowers like the US or UK. With India's economy booming, it can not afford to lag behind in the law and judicial aspect of it.

Nagarajan While on the one hand Politician spat at each other to show their superiority, we the people do not take terror attacks seriously. The way we show our indifference is there to see in any public place and therefore terrorist organization find us soft target.

raju More importantly , when the terrorists are caught why there are not punshied instantly . The case , court matter is dragged for an indefinate period. The instant punsishment should be such severe that it should be an exapmle for other terrorist group , who invovles in such brutal act of inhumanity. Government is more keen in blaming each other rather than improving on the security aspect.

RG India desperately needs a central police force with constitutional powers to collect intelligence and prosecute for terrorism and narcotics related offences. The corrupt and underresourced state polices are not only ineffective but also end up dancing to the tunes of their political masters, who sometime in the name of minority appeasement reduce or stop effective policing. There is no time for debate on this issue. If India does not do this now, it will end up facing thousand such attacks and maybe lead to a civil war.
There is no reason for not having effective policing. Every civilzed nation handles terrorism more efficiently than India. All bleeding heart liberals must first visit the countries whose scholarships they angle for and then decide which nation is a better in protecting its citizens.

Inder Pal Maan we have to open our eyes and keep watch on our neighbourhood, instead of blaming anyone, if anything suspicious call police as soon as possible.

Ashwani Goyal Value of Human Life is missing in India. The politics of India didn't let the Army & Agencies work properly. Secondly the vast spread corruption in India is another concern for all these attcks.
