MIXED DOUBLES: Take your pick from Ledger's 'The Dark Knight' (L) or Vidya's 'Kismat Konnection'.
New Delhi: While Bollywood fans get a dose of romance and fun in Kismat Konnection, Hollywood buffs will get a chance to see Heath Ledger in his last movie - The Dark Knight.
Kismat Konnection:
After playing the introvert Aditya Kashyap in Jab We Met, Shahid Kapur returns to the 70 mm as Raj Malhotra, a Toronto based architect who's brilliant but unsuccessful thanks to his poor kismat (luck). In a bid to turn the stars in his favour, Raj meets a oracle, Hasina Bano Jaan played by Juhi Chawla, who assures him of a bright future, if he finds his lucky charm. Vidya Balan plays Priya, a tough-talking girl for whom life is either in black or in white. And when Raj meets Priya, his kismat finally looks up. But will he find success and love? Find out in this film by Aziz Mirza, also starring Om Puri.
Contract:
After Satya and Company, Ram Gopal Varma returns with Contract that completes his trilogy of kinds on the underworld. Contract focuses on the nexus between terrorism and the underworld. Varma introduces newcomers Adhvik Mahajan and Sakshi Gulati with this film. After Box Office disasters like Ram Gopal Varma Kii Aag and Sarkar Raj, will Varma finally hits the bull's eye?
The Dark Knight:
Batman is fighting the crime infested underbelly of Gotham City in The Dark Knight. This sequel to Batman Begins is directed by Christopher Nolan. While Christian Bale slips into the batsuit yet again, late Heath Ledger dons a sly new look for the Joker, the eccentric bank robber who's crime records are no joke. Also starring Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon, Batman's partner in fighting crime, The Dark Knight is making news for Ledger's Joker act, that's being tipped as a front-runner for a posthumous Oscar.
