New Delhi: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) on Tuesday announced Class 10 (ICSE) and Class 12 (ISC) examination results, with girls once again outshining boys.

This year, 98.04 per cent students have passed the class 10 exams and 97.04 per cent have cleared the class 12 exams.

Girls have done better than boys in both classes. In Class 12, a whopping 98.23 per cent girls have cleared the examinations.

Similarly, 98.63 per cent girls have passed the exam in class 10, followed by 97.45 per cent boys.

Over 130,000 students appeared for Class 10 and 12 examinations held earlier this year.

G Arathoon, additional secretary of CISCE, said compared to last year, the overall performance of students has increased this year.

Janki Kriti Seth of Sulochana Devi Singhania Public School, Mumbai, has topped the ICSE exam with 98.6 per cent marks.
